What Is Mediation?

As an alternate, nonlitigious way to approach a divorce, mediation allows you to make the decisions about your future, rather than relying on a judge. Parties go before a third-party neutral "mediator" who facilitates a divorce agreement. Anything disclosed during the mediation is confidential and agreements are nonbinding.
